Abstract: A moderate grade of collophanite ore in Yunnan belongs to the typical silicate-calcareous phosphorite. In order to provide the basis for development and utilization of the ore，beneficiation tests were carried out by direct and reserve flotation. The results showed that under rod grinding fineness of -0.074 mm 87.72%，phosphorus concentrate with P₂O₅ grade of 30.22%，MgO content of 0.71%，P₂O₅ recovery of 83.72% was gained by the process of direct flotation with one rouging，one cleaning and one scavenging，and reserve flotation with one-roughing and one scavenging. The product quality reaches the first-class standard of phosphate ore for the acidic processing.
