Abstract: According to the requirements of the mineral exploration in China，and in order to improve the recovery rate and reduce the wastes，the original open stope method is changed into the open stope method with subsequent filling. This new mining method makes the recovery rate increased from 81.2% to 95% and efficiently recovers the iron (copper) ore resources of 250 000 t. It effectively improved the utilization of mineral resources，enhances the economic efficiency for enterprises，and removes the negative effect of rock environment caused by the open stope method as well.
