Study of on Flotation Behavior of Ultrafine Collophanite in Sodium Oleate System

Abstract: Flotation behavior of ultrafine collophanite in sodium oleate flotation system is investigated and the five types of modifiers including sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium silicate, sodium pyro-phosphate, starch, sodium humate on ultrafine collophanite recovery are researched through flotation tests of single mineral. The results showed that the appropriate conditions for flotation of ultrafine collophanite with sodium oleate were pulp temperature 45 ℃,pulp pH = 10 adjusted by NaOH, sodium oleate of 6 × 10-4 mol/L; The inhibiting performance of five inhibitors on ultrafine collophanite is listed in order as sodium humate>sodium hexametaphosphate>starch> sodium pyro-phosphate>sodium silicate.
