Abstract: Characteristics and properties of oxidized copper ore resources were summarized. Also the present situation of research on mineral processing technology was respectively introduced from three aspects of flotation process, chemical leaching process and combined dressing-metallurgy technology. The research status of flotation process is described in detail from aspects of direct flotation, flotation of sulfide,hydro-thermal sulfide flotation, finely particles of vacuum micro bubble flotation, desliming flotation and others. The chemical leaching process (including two aspects of acid leaching and ammonia leaching) is introduced, pointing out that the research in conventional flotation and leaching processes set their advantages in smelt joint processes, and new technology of copper oxide ore by microbiological leaching, roasting ammonia leaching and separation flotation etc.were presents. In the end,it is pointed out that the technological level of mineral processing technology of oxidized copper ore must be carefully studied;the research and development of new drugs should be strengthened to realize high efficiency flotation. In determining the ore treatment process, the optimal combination with various processing methods based on fully recognizing the advantages and disadvantages of those processing methods can achieve the complementary advantages of each beneficiation methods.
