Abstract: There are 100 thousand ton deposits resources distributed in our country in Western China. Rubidium mainly occurred in potassium feldspar and zinnwaldite in a decentralized state. The main gangue minerals are sodium feldspar and quartz. According to zinnwaldite has low intensity magnetism, and there are large floatability difference between feldspar and quartz, preconcentration experiment by combined flowsheet of magnetic separation and flotation, enrichment of zinnwaldite containing rubidium by high intensity magnetic separation and enrichment of potassium feldspar containing rubidium mineral by flotation. The results showed that raw ore with Rb2O grade of 0.13% ground to 65% passing 0.074 mm,using PL as strong depressor of quartz and other silicate minerals,EZ and laurylamine as combined collector of feldspar minerals, rubidium concentrate with Rb2O grade of 0.39% and recovery of 69.91% was obtained through one high intensity magnetic separation, one roughing, two cleaning, one scavenging flotation process.
