Abstract: Application and national industrial policies of microcrystalline materials produced by metal mine tailings was briefly introduced.Research and industrialization of tailings microcrystalline materials that have been done by research institutions represented by Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences are introduced in detail.On the analysis of the status quo of microcrystalline materials market in China，demand for the products is predicted.It came to a conclusion that metal mine tailings microcrystalline materials industry is a new industry with remarkable economic and social benefit and bright prospect.
