Abstract: The complex fracture structure in rock mass seriously affects the stability and failure mode of engineering rock mass. It is of great theoretical significance and engineering value to study its influence on the damage and failure mode of fractured rock mass. An improved OSB-PD model considering shear deformation is constructed based on the conventional state-type peridynamics ( OSB-PD ) theory, and the crack propagation evolution law of fractured rock mass under uniaxial compression is studied based on the constructed OSB-PD model considering shear deformation. A new simulation method of rock heterogeneity is proposed, and the influence of rock heterogeneity on the crack propagation behavior of rock under different prefabricated crack angles is studied. The results show that the prefabricated crack angle has a great influence on the crack propagation of fractured rock, and the heterogeneity of rock will greatly increase the crack propagation speed.
