Abstract: In order to provide the development and utilization technical basis on a fine low-grade hematite iron from Inner Mongolia, a experimental was carried out by high intensity magnetic separation-reverse flotation process, high intensity magnetic separation-flotation process and the deep reduction-weak magnetic separation process. The results showe that: high intensity magnetic separation-flotation separation process cannot achieve ideal result, but through the test of deep reduction-low intensity magnetic separation, in the condition of coal consumption 30%, resistant reducing agent CCO 15%, roasting temperature at 1 200 ℃ for 90 min, a concentrate of the Fe content of 91.44%, with the Fe recovery of 91.22% is produced. The mechanisms of CCO were also investigated by XRD and SEM. The results show that CCO can promote the wustite reduce to metallic iron and inhibit the formation of fayalite and play a role of desulfurization.
