Abstract: In this paper，the technology of medium-length hole blasting during roadway excavation of a metal mine in the Middle East was studied.The technical parameters including hole layout，loading technique，connecting leg wire and blasting cable detonation methods were optimized according to the different features of roadway section design，explosives performance，drilling equipment，and etc.It was proved by production practice that the technology using optimized drilling blasting parameters have advantages of safety，high tunneling speed，regular roadway cross-section，low cost，and etc.The research could not only provide technical reference for domestic mining companies which enter mining market of Middle-East，but also beneficial to similar mine worldwide.
