Abstract: The ore sample analysis of a Yunnan iron concentrator shows that the sample mainly contains hematite and specularite and its iron minerals are fine disseminated.The new beneficiation process test indicates that the application of low intensity magnetic separation- high intensity magnetic separation-gravity separation process in the staged grinding and staged separation can obtain an iron concentrate grading 62.15% and having an iron recovery of 87.14%, up by 3.8 percentage points and 17.96 percentage points respectively compared to the original iron grade of 58.35% and iron recovery of 69.185, which illustrates that the test has achieved good metallurgical performances in improving both the grade and the recovery.
