Separation Tests of a Low-grade kyanite Ore from Shuyang

Abstract

Abstract: Aiming at a low-grade kyanite ore from Shuyang, under the basement of conditions tests, compared the effect of two kinds flowsheet as grinding-desliming-high gradient magnetic separation then acid flotation and grinding-desliming-acid flotation then high gradient magnetic separation. Finally determined to adopt the flowsheet of grinding-desliming-high gradient magnetic separation then acid flotation, got the kyanite concentrate with Al₂O₃ grade of 55.46% and the recovery of 81.24%. It can provide a technical basis for the developing of the kyanite resource.
