Abstract: In order to recover silver from zinc leaching residue which produced by a zinc hydrometallurgy factory in Inner Mongolia, did some tests with flotation method. The results show that, because of the fine disseminated silver mineral in zinc leaching residue, the recovery rate is low with conventional flotation but can be remarkably better by carrier flotation. Taking -0.037 mm organic matter AC-0 as carrier, lime for pH adjustment agent, odium sulfide as activating agent, ammonium dibuyldithiophosphate and isopropyl ethylthionocarbamate as collectors, finally get the grade of 8 670 g/t silver concentrate with the recovery rate of 61.67% through the closed circuit test of one roughing, one cleaning, and one scavenging system.
