Abstract: Combined with the geological conditions and mining technology of the mining face 11118 in Panbei Mine，a design program on the roof and walls of the tunnel about the large span mechanized mining face was provided，and the support parameters were optimized through the theoretical calculations and engineering analogy. For the large span fully mechanized caving tunnel，the coupling support technology of anchor-mesh-bolt-belt was raised to effectively solve the roof security problem and the convergence deformation problem of two sides in large span caving face. And the support ways were simulated by ABAQUS. The numerical results show that the rationality of coupling support technology in supporting tunnel that has the similar surrounding conditions.
