The southern district Ⅱ of Xishimen iron mine is gently inclined and medium thick orebody. In the deep mining,the dip angle and the thickness decrease and the unstable floor rock becomes thick. Sublevel caving is still in application,so there are some critical problems,such as single level mining and great loss of residual ore. According to the occurrence and the stability of rock mass,an improved sublevel caving scheme that loading in trench and ore drawing in drift is purposed in this paper. The results show that the new scheme meets conditions of rocks well and mining is safe and efficient.

Heishan open pit mine has turned into underground mine. The hanging-wall ore in western reinforced slope is a large size ore body,which would be mine by pillarless sublevel caving method. The process would disturb the stability of the rock mass. Studies should be made on the behavior of slope deformation and the formation of overburden cover. Based on the data from tests of 3D contact-free measuring system and point load instrument system upon the complex slope conditions in western area of Heishan open-pit mine,the generalized Hoek-Brown criterion is applied to estimate the deformation and strength parameters of jointed rock masses. Then the behavior of rock mass and instability of the slope is analyzed using RFPA,and it has important instructive meaning.

Beiminghe iron mine is a contact metasomatic skarn type magnetite deposit,and the sublevel caving mining method was adopted. The sublevel height is 15 m and the drift interval is 18 m. These parameters have been used mining the upper orebody,and better technical economical effect was obtained. With the mining depth increasing in recent years,the ore loss rate increase gradually,so the mine needed a new structure parameter. 20 m sublevel height based on trend of subleve development was recommended in this paper,the principle of mining using at least three subleve and the factor of beneficial to recovery residual ore on footwall. Based on calculation using a new measured granular media flow parameter,20 m sublevel is better than the 18 m drift interval. In addition,the transition way of different sublevel is put forward.

Based on the asperity of a rough joint occurring on many scales,Joint roughness coefficient (JRC) is presented using the elongation rate (Er) and degree of the undulation(wd),and their relationship is established through the value of standard profiles suggested by ISRM. The elongation rate (Er) is used to show the roughness character offered by secondary asperity,while the degree of an undulation (wd) is used to reflect the roughness property at the first order. On the other hand,in virtue of the difficulties in calculating the value of curve length in engineering practice,this paper provides the program for obtaining the value of curve length based on the digital image of rock joints. It would be helpful for applying the method to describe the JRC in engineering practices.

According to different ways of initiation on the blasting for sublevel stoping in the Lead-Zinc mine of Xitieshan,Geermu in Qinghai province,the numerical simulations about different ways of initiation were carried by making use of highly nonlinear explicit finite element analysis software. The stress distribution,the displacement change and the energy change were compared and analyzed when blasting by the way of orifice initiation or the way of bottom of the hole initiation. The simulated results show that the way of bottom of the hole initiation was better. When blasted by the way of orifice initiation,the high-stress state appeared earlier,the ore displacement was larger,the total energy was lower than that by that of bottom of the hole initiation. Then the way of orifice initiation was not conducive to the ore crushing. The analysis provides a theoretical basis for choosing the way of mining initiation.

Especially the advanced abutment pressure distribution law was analysis in detail,and the abnormal stress concentration region located a sharp corner of irregular coal pillar in front of working face tailgate,which vertical stress concentration factor is 2.75. Rockburst danger in abnormal stress concentration was monitored by electromagnetic emission (EME),when the monitoring EME intensity value was bigger than the critical warning value 100mV,the coal materials relieve-shots were measured timely for weakening rockburst danger. Meanwhile,EME was used to check the effect until the monitoring index value was lower than the critical value. Finally,the safe production of working face was ensured.

Combined with the geological conditions and mining technology of the mining face 11118 in Panbei Mine,a design program on the roof and walls of the tunnel about the large span mechanized mining face was provided,and the support parameters were optimized through the theoretical calculations and engineering analogy. A iron ore of Yunnan is mixing iron ore, it is hard to separate by conventional recovery techniques for micro-fine iron ore. The method with coal-based direct reduction followed by low intensity magnetic separation is presented for this kind iron ore. The results show that the direct-reduction iron concentrate with grading 91.20% and recovery 87.05% is obtained under the conditions of roasted ore by two-stage grinding and low intensity magnetic separation process with the weight ratios of iron ore/lignite/CaO as 100∶20∶10, the reduction roasting temperature of 1 200 ℃ for 50 min, the roasted ores-grinding fineness of 325 mesh 81.34% and 92.41% in the first and second grinding classification, two stage low intensity magnetic separation of 187.10 and 143.31 kA/m. The study offer the technical support for development and utilization of refractory iron ore.

Bolun roasted iron ore in Xinjiang by magnetic separation produces iron concentrates that have an iron grade of only about 60% but SiO2 content more than 10%. In order to increase the quality of iron concentrate, using GE-609 developed by Wuhan university of technology as collector, get the satisfactory results of the grade of concentrates and the recovery being 65.59% Fe and 95.94% respectively. However, the grade of reverse flotation tailings is still as high as 21.36%. With a process consisting of reverse flotation, middling regrinding and low intensity magnetic separation, gaining the tailing containing Fe 14.87%. The iron concentrate of low intensity magnetic separation with Fe grade 38.12% can be returned to the flotation operation.

Flotation behavior of ultrafine hematite and the effect of five types of depressors(sodium hexametaphosphate, sodium silicate, sodium pyro-phosphate, starch, sodium humate)on ultrafine hematite recovery in NaOl flotation system were researched. The results show that ultrafine hematite reaches to good floatability when the concentration of sodium oleate is 4×10-4 mol/L and pH value is 10. The five types of depressors all have obvious depression on ultrafine hematite flotation, organic depressors have a better depression effect than inorganic depressors, and the depression effects of the five depressors are in the order of starch>sodium humate>sodium pyro-phosphate>sodium hexametaphosphate>sodium silicate.

Profile splicing technology of 3D visualization modeling of complex ore body is studied. The study of S and Pb isotopic data for the bearing-copper porphyries and metals in Jiama copper polymetallic deposit,show that the S isotope and Pb isotope compositions from ore minerals are similar to those from porphyries,and vary slightly. The sulfur isotope fractionation in the ore fluid almost reaches the equilibrium,showing the typical signature of mantle S. The uniform Pb isotope compositions for the deposit imply that the Pb isotopes may have the same origin and similar developing history. The Pb isotopes are plotted mostly between the mantle and orogenic belt evolution curves in the plumbotectonic framework diagram. The ore-forming materials in Jiama copper polymetallic deposit were mainly from magma. The ore-forming porphyry was formed due to upper-crust under the orogene,and the input of enriched mantle components.

The slurry pipeline in PNG Ramu Nico red soil ore project generated accelerated flow in the section of K44+300 to K45+400 on the test running stage when it completed,and it caused a displacement on vertical and horizontal direction of the pipeline on the section of K43~K45+800(about 3 km). The maximum displacement is up to 1.5 m,anchors of pipeline cracked,pine supports inclined,optical cable along the pipeline be snapped. In order to eliminate accelerated flow,an S-shaped transitional bend circuit laying method was suggested,and the pipe laying technology was modified at the same time. After modification,the pipeline did not generate accelerated flow on the next test running. It works well,and has a sound effect.

The closed distance coal seam mining has large proportion in China,and recoverable mining coal reserves,which less than 10 m layer distance in Mugua mine of Lvliang,amounting to total reserves of 80%. So the rock microseismic study of under closed distance coal seam mining technology is of the important practical significance. The closed distance lower coal mining in Mugua mine,the technical problems were tunnel supporting of 109 working face and the reasonable width of coal pillar. Based on the microseismic monitoring theory,the in-situ monitoring method is used in the return airway strata break of time and space position,energy and microseismic distribution form characteristics with working face impelling,the 109 working face of mine pressure distribution rule and lateral strata break law and damage degree were determined. It provides scientific data with determining the reasonable coal pillar width,the closed distance of the coal resources realized safety and efficiency mining.

According to the different properties of the flotation tailings from two concentrators of sijiaying iron mine, adopted different process to reelection. The results show that the flotation tailings from one concentrator by the process of grinding-middle intensity magnetic separation-reverse flotation can get the iron concentrate with yield 14.15%, iron grade 66.05%, recovery 52.21%, the other concentrator by the process of classification-grinding-high gradient high intensity magnetic separation-centrifugation for gravity concentration can get the iron concentrate with yield 12.64%, iron grade 63.53%, iron recovery 39.34%. An Artificial reef characterized by its high strength was prepared. Its cementitious material is composed of -0.088 mm steel slag stabilized by a hot-simmering method and blast furnace slag from Ansteel company; its fine and coarse aggregates are also steel slag stabilized by a hot-simmering method with sizes from 0.088 mm to 19 mm. By analyses of X-ray diffraction, field emission scanning electron microscope, differential thermal and infrared absorption spectrum for the hydration characteristic of the cementitious material, it can be found that a large amount of calcium silicate hydrate which mainly contributes to the early strength characterized by its low-alkalinity and a small amount of ettringte are both formed at early hydration stage. With the development of the hydration process, the calcium silicate hydrate and ettringite which is filling in the gaps of the hydration system are increasing continually. Therefore, the long-term strength can be improved by calcium silicate hydrate and ettringite.

Using the XRD and SEM method to analyze desulfurization mechanism of Huimin lignite and desulfurizer SH for low intensity magnetic concentrate with high sulphur concent of sulfur tailings in Inner Mongolia by using direct reduction roasting. The results show that the influence of reducing agent on the desulfurization has certain effect, the reason is that high temperature reduction atmosphere which formed by Huimin lignite can make pyrite and magnetic pyrite generating elemental sulfur and carbonyl sulfur in volatile gas state, metallic iron and troilite without magnetic, sulfur in volatile gas state and the grinding magnetic method to separate troilite and iron is the way to desulfurization. SH has promotion effect to the desulfurization. The mechanism is the desulfurizer SH and the pyrite and magnetic pyrite in direct reduction roasting process reacts iron and calcium sulfide without magnetic, through the grinding magnetic method to separate calcium sulfide and iron, so as to achieve the desulfurization target.
