Abstract: The underground mining work by mining industry company is restricted by the surface subsidence of mining area, which is an  important factor. In mining process, looser rock mass gradually fill mined-out area and pass up to surface. Consequently, the structures and facility over the land were damaged. Taken east area in Jinshandian iron mine as an example, the UDEC was used to simulate the surface movement caused by the mining area of -130 m level or above and -270 m ore bodies excavation engineering in 2# ore body. The laws of surface were studied. It provides theories for following work.
