Experiment on Mineral Processing  of High-Sulfur Copper Zinc Ore from Xinjiang

Abstract: According to the characteristics of a high-sulfur copper zinc ore from Xinjiang, the ore was studied by the principle flowsheet of copper-zinc bulk floatation-regrinding of the rough copper-zinc concentrate-copper-zinc separation-extracting sulfur from copper-zinc bulk floatation tailings.Studies show that, the appropriate grinding fineness of copper-zinc bulk floatation and regrinding of the rough copper-zinc concentrate are-0.074 mm90% and -0.043 mm95%;J102 and butyl xanthate are copper-zinc mixed flotation effective collectors;T-21 and zinc sulfate combination has strong inhibition on sphalerite;J102 on copper mineral selective collector can better achieve the separation of copper and zinc.Using the closed-circuit flowsheet that determined by the tests treating the ore, it can obtain the copper concentrate with copper 20.09% and recovery 86.46%,  the  zinc concentrate with zinc 20.09% and recovery 86.46%, the sulfur concentrate with sulfur 45.95% and recovery 74.09%.
