Experimental Research of Magnetic Field Screening for Concentration Plant of Batai Iron Mine

Abstract: Samples of the rough concentrate of low intensity magnetic separation, the products under high frequency fine sieve and the final concentrate from Concentration Plant of Batai Iron Mine of Wuyang Mining Company are taken to make laboratory experiment on magnetic field screening. The results showed that qualified iron concentrate with iron grade, productivity and iron recovery of above 66%, 82% and 94% was directly obtained by the process of one cleaning separation with magnetic field screening after removing +0.3 mm rough particles of rough concentrate and the products under high frequency fine sieve. For the primary final concentrate, iron grade can be improved from 65.5% to about 68% through the method above. This indicated that the application of the magnetic field screening into Concentration Plant of Batai Iron Mine can reach remarkable effects on simplifying the process, increasing output and saving consumption, and improving the iron concentrate quality.
