Abstract: The rock mass of Jinfeng open pit has the characteristics of low-strength,easily-weathered and mudding with water. In accordance with the principle of partition supporting, integrated reinforcement measures consisting of mesh+ long cable bolts, long cable bolts+ steel stripe, mesh supporting,anti-slide pile and HDPE membranes to protect slopes were applied with the total supporting area of up to 52 500 m2.Ditches built at the surface and holes drilled through slopes can effectively drain water on the slopes. This method can make the slope angle of the mine and the total slope angle respectively reaching 55°~65° and 34°~40°,while slope height exceeding 275 m,successfully realizing the steep mining of low-strength and easily-weathered broken deep open-pit.Simultaneously,combining with years of engineering practice, the slope supporting effects of various reinforcement methods are elaborated and their applicability are evaluated objectively.
