Abstract: Taking the Eastern Mining Area in Ansteel Iron and Steel Group Company as a research object，and in view of the problems of exploiting hard in large and complex mines，a new management model of mining and metallurgical engineering: five ore-grade linkage (ore geological grade，ore-mined grade，beneficiation feed grade，concentrate grade，furnace feed grade) is innovatively proposed.In this model，the theoretical model is established，practicing the development thinking of getting breakthrough through technological research; realizing the linkage between the processes through the effective project management; and then fulfilling the overall outcome through optimizing the indexes throughout the mine.The implement of five grade linkage gained a number of important achievements，and obtained great economic and social benefits.
