Abstract: Through the uniaxial compression test of sandstone，the strength degradation rule of sandstone under different dry-wet circulation is studied.The test results show that with the increase of dry-wet cycles，the peak intensity of sandstone decrease by exponential relationship，i.e sandstone strength degradation under dry-wet circulation is a progressive degradation with internal structure damage accumulation，extension until destruction.The research results provide a beneficial basis for short term and long term stability and safety evaluation of the engineering under dry-wet circulation condition.
