Genesis Contrast of Granite from Pozaiying Molybdenum Ore in the West of Guangdong Province

Abstract: Some granite samples such as granite porphyry,quartz porphyry,fine grained granite and granite gneiss from Pozaiying Molybdenum Ore in the west of Guangdong province were selected and its REE composition,EPMA and raman spectra characteristics were analyzed.The results showed that there exists distinct difference of the REE composition,quartz crystal SiO2 content and its crystallographic feature between fine grained granite and granite gneiss.Both two are formed in different forming process.Granite porphyry and its phenocryst are similar to that of fine grained granite,revealing that the granite porphyry and fine grained granite may be homologous products.However,the composition of quartz porphyry is more close to granitic gneiss,inferring that it be formed due to contamination by the upper invasion of granite porphyry to granitic gneiss.
