Drilling Energy Consumption Analysis of Rotary Drill Rig

Abstract: Through statistical analysis on actual application of rotary drill rig in mine,the influence of drilling depth,protodyakonov coefficient of rock,drilling rate,drilling hole diameter on the drilling energy consumption are analyzed.The linear meter energy consumption scales up in a linear relation with the drilling depth,and with the drilling depth increasing,the energy consumption grows exponentially as the drilling depth.With the increase of the Protodyakonov coefficient,the energy consumption growth of the rotary drill rig with large aperture is lower than that with small aperture.So the rotary drill rig with large aperture is suitable for drilling the solid rock.Different type of rotary drilling rigs has its own drilling rates,so it is necessary to adopt the suitable one according to the actual situation.Linear energy consumptions are varied according to different apertures,the energy consumption of rotary drilling rig with small aperture is obviously low.But in terms of blasting unit amount of rock,the energy consumption of rotary drilling rig with large aperture is lower than that with small aperture.The research is of guiding significance to the type selections of rotary drilling rigs and drilling work as well in the open pit mine.
