Abstract: There are many issues in development and utilization of mineral resources in China such as high mining intensity，high energy consumption per unit，low-level exploitation，and overmuch，chaotic and miscellaneous waste emission etc.This backward mode in development and utilization severely wasted the limited mineral resources.Based on this，the necessity of circular economy on mining was proposed and the significance and urgency of promoting green development in China were analyzed.The theoretical background and basic features of mining circular economy were introduced as well.The corresponding countermeasures and basic principles for mining circular economy development were put forward to promote mining development in more healthy and sustainable way by reference of typical successful cases of mining circular economy development in Minmetals Luzhong Mining Co.，Ltd.，Tongling Nonferrous Metals Group Holding Co.，Ltd.，and Henan Lingbao City，etc respectively.
