Abstract: Fenghuang Dressing Plant of Dachang in Guangxi Province is planning to deal with the cassiterite sulfide ore.Effects of soaking solution pH,liquid-solid ratio, stack height on release behavior of Mn,Zn,As in tailings,as well as pH values at various conditions, are investigated through the column static soaking immersion tests. Results indicated that: ①when the initial pH,liquid-solid ratio, and stack height are different, and as the leaching time extended, release concentration of Mn and Zn is dropped dramatically first and then went steady. The cumulative release was rapidly increased first and then grown slowly.Meanwhile,As leaching concentration as well as cumulative release are nearly linearly increased, and the pH value of the soaking solution is neutralized from 7.2 to 8.0.②Mn and Zn releases are the easiest when the initial pH is 3.5,a little hard with pH value of 5.5,and the hardest when pH is 4.5,but the initial pH value has no influence on As leaching behavior; The higher of liquid-solid ratio, the more easily Mn,Zn and As is leached; Stack height of tailings has little influence on leaching behavior of Mn,Zn and As.③Within the test range, the release of Mn is very low,as well as Zn and As,and the corresponding maximum leaching amount is 14.505,13.471,0.768 mg/kg respectively. The research results above provide some references for heavy metal pollution prevention and control in the field of tailings dam.
