Abstract: Metallurgical process has produced a great deal of metallurgical solid wastes.Due to the poor processing technology, these metallurgical solid wastes have not been recovered or treated promptly and effectively, and result in environmental problems, such as heavy metal pollution in soil and water.According to the characteristics of the metallurgical industry in China, the types and sources,as well as the treatment and comprehensive utilization of the metallurgical solid wastes, were analyzed. The recycling way, advantages and disadvantages in application of metallurgical slag to steel slag magnetic separation in addition to iron, steel slag to return composite powder sintering, steel slag, slag, steel slag cement, and building materials products were introduced. The source, characteristics and recovery technology of blast furnace dusts and steelmaking dusts were analyzed. In addition, several kinds of main steel slag processing technology and metallurgical dust slime recovery technology were pointed out,and the problems existing in the waste comprehensive utilization of resources on the iron and steel enterprises in China were given. The resource processing development trend of metallurgical solid wastes was put forwards, such as expanding to the Marine ecological protection, sensible heat power generation project and other new fields.
