Abstract: All adapter plates used in the cast aluminum industry are imported products in our country.To fill in the blanks，the adapter plate using xonotlite was prepared by cheap raw material and simple process.The experimental results showed that the product with density of 0.85 g/cm³，bending strength of 7.75 MPa，shrinkage rate of 1.58%，the thermal shock times of 35 with excellent heat insulation was prepared when the mass ratio of xonotlite，glass fiber，lime was 36∶2∶1，the mass ratio of raw materials and water was 1∶1 and under conditions of the forming pressure 20 MPa，and autoclaving temperature at 180 ℃ for 3 h.In all，the performance of the product is superior to that of the imported products. 
