Magnetization Roasting-Magnetic Separation on a Siderite Ore from Chongqing

Abstract: In order to confirm the utilization scheme of a highly oxidized siderite ore from Chongqing Province,the experimental study of the magnetic roasting-grinding-low intensity magnetic separation process was carried out.Under the conditions of roasting temperature at 800 ℃ for 50 min,the consumption of coal of 10%,the grind fineness of roasted product for 88% passing 200 mesh,low intensity magnetic separation of magnetic field intensity of 119.43 kA/m,low intensity magnetic concentrate with iron grade of 58.94%,and iron recovery of 76.38% were obtained.After SiO2,the high contents of MgO,MnO and Al2O3 in the weak magnetic separation concentrate are the factors that affect the iron grade of concentrate.
