Beneficiation Experiment of a Refractory Micro-fine Copper-nickel Sulfide Ore from Jinlin

Abstract: There is 0.19% copper and 0.42% nickel in a refractory copper-nickel sulfide ore from Jilin.Copper and nickel ore mineral paragenesis significantly,fine disseminated.To provide technique basis for the development and utilization of the ore,copper and nickel bulk flotation-copper and nickel separation flotation process was conducted.The results show:at the grinding fineness of -0.074 mm accounted for 80%,using copper sulfate as activator,ethyl xanthenes + butyl ammonium aeroflot as collector,2# oil as the foaming agent,CMC for selection inhibitors via one roughing-three cleaning-two scavenging for copper and nickel bulk flotation to achieve Cu-Ni bulk concentrate,reground the Cu-Ni bulk concentrate to -0.038 mm accounted for 90%,with lime as inhibitor,ethyl xanthate as collector endure one roughing-three cleaning-two scavenging copper and nickel separation flotation,copper concentrate with copper grade of 24.62%,copper recovery of 79.04%,nickel grade of 0.73%,nickel recovery of 1.06% of the,nickel concentrate with nickel grade of 5.73%,nickel recovery of 5.73%,copper grade of 0.11%,copper recovery of 3.22% was achieved.Comprehensive recovery of the copper and nickel was realized.
