Abstract: In order to investigate the possibility of removing iron by phosphate on acid leaching solution of manganese carbonate ore,and explore the effects of recycling phosphate anions by NaOH in the processes of the generated FePO4 residue, the condition experiments of removing iron and recycle phosphate anions in the simulated solution obtained from acid leaching of manganese carbonate ore of Mn2+,Fe2+ concentrations were 18.04,5.20 g/L were conducted. The results show that the theoretical amount of H2O2,pH=1.8,sodium phosphate dosage of 1.7 times theoretical amount, reaction time to be 15 minutes at room temperature, the removal rates of Fe2+ is 99.85% and the loss rates of Mn2+ is only 2.23%.Under the optimal conditions that sodium hydroxide to be 0.75 times of the theoretical amount and response time of 3 hours, recovery of PO3-4 is 98.24%.Therefore,the processing of removing iron by phosphate on acid leaching of manganese carbonate ore is not only feasible, but also at a low price because of the high recovery of PO3-4.
