Abstract: Vanadium is an important rare element.The purification and enrichment of vanadium from the vanadium-bearing leaching solution is one of necessary processes in the vanadium extraction technology.The principal and application of two widely-used methods，ion exchange and solvent extraction，in purifying the enriching vanadium from leaching solutions was emphasis introduced，and the research state of some innovative techniques for the purification and enrichment of vanadium as well was introduced.Finally，the development of separation and purification techniques for vanadium was predicted.
