Abstract: The latest progress of nearly ten years in China about concentration technology of wet tailings，dry tailings and paste tailings was comprehensively reviewed，the development and application status of tailing thickening equipment such as hydrocyclone，clarification device (pool)，(high efficiency) thickener，inclined plate thickener，high density (high pressure) thickener，paste thickener，dewatering screen，filter，filter press，settlement tank and sedimentation tank were introduced in detail.In wet tailings concentration technology，high-efficient modification of thickener and transformation of classification concentration process have been mainly researched；thickener，cyclone separator，dewatering sieve，filter (filter) integrated process is currently selected for mature technology of dry heaping tailings thickening by mineral processing plant；paste tailings concentration technology is simple，and paste tailings can be transfered by pipeline，so the technology has development future；how to develop new and efficient concentration equipments such as paste tailings thickener，high efficiency thickener，automatic filter press，filter and other according to the characteristics of the tailings，which will be future development tendency of tailings concentration equipment.
