Abstract: There is 0.099% Mo in a refractory molybdenum ore from Shaanxi, molybdenum mainly exists in form of molybdenite.Molybdenite was finely disseminated and closely disseminated with easily floating silicate minerals, talc, etc. To provide technique basis for the development and utilization of the ore, three stage grinding-stage flotation test was conducted. Results show that at first stage grinding fineness of 70% passing 0.074 mm,second stage grinding fineness of 84% passing 0.038 mm,third stage grinding fineness of 95% passing 0.038 mm,using sodium silicate + lime + BK510 as depressor, kerosene + diesel as collector,BK340 as auxiliary collector,2# oil as frother, flotation process, molybdenum concentrate with molybdenum grade of 47.56% and recovery of 86.78% was obtained. The test results can provide technical basis for the development and utilization of the ore.
