Abstract: Selective magnetic agglomerate of magnetite on hematite during hematite reverse flotation was investigated，as well as their mechanisms.The results show that the recovery of concentrate hematite was increased，Fe grade of tailings was reduced on the reverse flotation by adding magnetite in reverse flotation of hematite on hematite and quartz artificial mixed minerals.And the smaller the particle size of magnetite is，the influence is more significant.The effect of starch and magnetite used in combination was more obvious than magnetite alone.Compared with the absence of magnetite，recovery of hematite was increased by 6.5 percentage points and the grade of iron in tailing was decreased by 22.5 percentage points when the -5 μm magnetite proportion is 4%.The sedimentation experiment and SEM analysis results showed that magnetite can selectively agglomerate hematite，improve fine hematite flotation index.
