Abstract: Zirconium pillared montmorillonite (Zr-pmnt) with basal spacing of 1.87 nm was used as adsorbent to study its adsorption technology conditions on Cu²⁺.Results show that under conditions of Cu²⁺ concentration of 100 mg/L，0.1 g Zr-pmnt was added into 50 mL Cu²⁺ solution and solution pH is 7，constant temperature water bath oscillation at 20 ℃ for 120 min，adsorption saturated capacity of Cu2+on Zr-pmnt is 44.26 mg/g and Cu²⁺ removal rate is 88.52%.
