Abstract: In order to ascertain the development of slope shallow landslide from the footwall 334 m platform to 370 m platform in Nanfen open-pit iron mine and determine the speciation of potential slope sliding surface, the ground penetrating radar and the numerical methods are used to detect and analyze platforms of 334 m,346 m and 370 m.Ground penetration radar survey results show that there is a continuous broken belt in this region. The profile for landslide mass, broken zone and slide bed are achieved.Numerical simulation results indicate that broken belt has a strong influence on slope stability in the region and causes a decrease in slope stability. The potential landslide sliding surface is constituted by the crushed zone. The landslide ground penetrating radar detection results provides the basis reference data for prevention and control landslide disaster in Nanfen mine.
