Abstract: In China，metal and nonmetal open-pit mining occupies a huge proportion.But about half of them have been deformed or destroyed.Due to some hazards like high slope and landslides，it has become the big disaster that endangered the mine safety production and the people's lives and property.Low management level and technique of metal and non-metal open pit slope is one of the most important factors that lead to the accidents in recent years.So the slope management is particularly important.According to the problems and trends of metal and nonmetal open pit slope in China，the recommendations on open pit slope management of metal and nonmetal mine for supervision department and mining enterprise are proposed.
