Abstract: This paper takes some tailings of copper mine as the object of study and uses the general alkaline process leaching (ammonia to soak) technology to launch the experiment for the purpose of determining the impact of the tailings leaching factors and levels. The test result indicated that copper leaching rate related to the ammonia density, leaching cycle, temperature, liquid solid proposition, activator and so on.The conditions of this experimental obtained best leaching: The density between 100 g/L, the temperature in 40 ℃,the amount of activator used 35 g/L, leaching cycle 1.5 h, the liquid solid ratio is 3∶1.The highest leaching rate is 29.8%, the activator NH3-NH4HF2 system causes the copper leaching rate to enhance about 2%.
