Abstract: The paper summarizes the development of metalized pellets technology，analyzes its characteristics，and introduces its mechanism of reduction and the two basic methods in production，that is，the gas-based method and the coal-based method.And then，five processes for producing the metalized pellets are compared，pointing out that the most suitable process in production of metalized pellets in China is the rotary furnace process and the rotary reduction kiln process.
