Abstract: On the basis of the analysis the nature of a siderite ore from Jiayuguan, a research on reducing roasting-magnetic separation was carried out.The influence of processing parameters, such as the roasting temperature the roasting time, the consumption of the reducing agent(coal), the dosage of the fluxing agent, the ground level, were investigated.A optimum conditions for direct reducing roast was determined by the test, Under the optimum conditions,  a concentrate with an iron grade and recovery of 94.70% and 90.28%, respectively, can be obtained.
