Abstract: The composition of the desulphurized and skimmed slag tailing from Ansteel is similar to the silicate cement， and the water requirement of normal consistency， soundness， setting time and strength of slag tailings-blended cement were researched respectively by adopting the tailings slag powder stead of silicate cement.The comprehensive analysis indicated that the tailings powder of desuphurization and slag skimming can replace some of the cement.But it has a negative effect on the compressive strength and rupture strength of cement mortar at different days.Therefore， the maximum amount of tailings to be blended is recommended at less than 30%.
