Abstract: Large numbers of cavities formed by the underground mining of metal mineral resources not only endanger the mine safety but cause great difficulties in a full recovery of the resource. Therefore, it has become a major front research subject for the safety production in China's metal mines to take the advanced cavity detection system as the means to research and apply the relevant technology based on a precision detection of cavities. By a comprehensive application of theoretical analysis, site detection and geological modeling, with the cavity laser monitoring system and mining software Surpac as the main tools, in light of the reality of a specific project of recovering hidden danger resource in Tokeng Copper Mine, we carried out the research on the visualized technology for the extraction of the ore pillars at complex boundary based on cavity monitoring. As a result, an accurate 3D pillar model and blasting design parameters were obtained, providing an important basis for an effective recovery of trouble resource.
