Abstract: To solve the contradiction between classification accuracy, efficiency and throughput and feed concentration, SLK high efficiency, accuracy plane vortex classifier is developed. It is characterized by the introduction of new pneumatic-sealing device, special-shaped vane and pre-dispersion system. In the research and development process, CFD software was used to optimize the geometric parameters and operational parameters. It is found through the simulation that when the rotation speed is 500r/min, pneumatic sealing can have a 100% trap rate for 50um  particles while the labyrinth seal can hardly play a role of sealing. Meanwhile, the flow-diversion capability of SLK model is obviously better than that of O-sepa. It is illustrated through the test research of SLK35 prototype and the engineering application of SLK 85 classifier that this model of classifiers can achieve a classification efficiency of  about 90% at high throughput and high classification concentration.
