Abstract: In view of low efficiency in dry magnetic pre-concentration for tailing discarding of lean magnetite ore，CCTS-type wet permanent drum magnetic separator for coarse particles with capacity of 150 ~ 200 t/h，magnetic strength of the cylinder surface of 400 ~ 500 mT，maximum feed particle up to 15 mm has been developed by Sinosteel Maanshan Institute of Mining Research Co.，Ltd..A number of experimental results showed that CCTS-type wet permanent drum magnetic separator for coarse particles can be widely used in various poor magnetite ore at domestic，and the wet tailing discarding is significantly more efficient than dry ones.The industrial application in Shandong Hualian Mining Co.，Ltd.，Liguanji Iron Mine of Shandong Fuquan Mining Co.，Ltd.，Shandong Cangshan Iron Mine，indicated that CCTS-type wet permanent drum magnetic separator for coarse particles owned a good promotion prospect.
