Study on Depression Effect of Different Starches on Mixed Concentrate of Magnetic Separation

Abstract

Abstract: The effect of corn starch, waxy corn starch, potato starch and cassava starch on the flotation for Diaojuntai iron ore is studied through the analysis of the depression mechanism of starch for hematite and the flotation test.The results indicate that these starches all have certain depression effect on the hematite and the difference in their depression effect for the hematite lies in their different molecular weight and their ratio of the branched chain to linear chain.
