Abstract: Based on the investigation of the sample land plots, the effects of several reclamation modes used for the land discarded by the iron mines around Anshan City are compared. Several feasible reclamation modes for the iron mine waste land are summarized, such as direct planting of poplars in the tailing sands on the condition that the irrigation can be satisfied, poplar planting in earth-covered waste land, and dump slope reclamation by earth-fixing with willow frames.
