Abstract: Based on the comprehensive analysis of their basic properties, BIF tailings were used to make light wall materials with different binders. The research found that the optimal process parameters include a mass ratio between the iron tailings, inorganic binder and alkaline liquor-modified biomass binder of 90∶5∶5, sintering temperature of 1 200 ±10 ℃and sintering time of 30min. The product made at the optimal conditions has a volume density of 1.314 g/cm3, apparent porosity of 30.98% and compressive strength that satisfies MU7.5 standard.
