Investigation on Potential Controlled Flotation Process for Pb-Zn Ore from Anhui Xinqiao Mine

Abstract: In order to make a full utilization of the ore resource of Anhui Tongling Xinqiao Mining Co.Ltd, ore properties and separation process were investigated for the Pb-Zn ore from Xinqiao area.In view that metal sulfide minerals are dominant in this ore and its main metal minerals include pyrite, pyrrhotite, blende, marmatite and galena, potential-controlled in-turn preferential flotation process was adopted.Lime was used to control the pulp potential (pH value of pulp), DDTC (diethyl dithiocarbamate) and (ZnSO4+YN) were used as collector for lead mineral and as strong depressant for zinc sulfide minerals in lead flotation respectively.In zinc flotation from the tailings of lead flotation, copper sulfate and butyl xanthate were used as the activator and collector for zinc mineral respectively.The process obtained lead, zinc and sulfur concentrates with good indexes and produced no tailing.
