Abstract: around infinite elastic medium cavities by using boundary element method. Calculation of rectangular roadways and upright arch-roof roadways is made by fictitious stress boundary element method to obtain the stress concentration factors of the key points around the roadways. The calculation results are compared with the relevant data in several rock mechanics monographs domestically published in recent years. Great errors are found in some of the data cited in these literatures, which the authors propose should be corrected in their republication.
