Abstract: Process mineralogy was made on a certain silver-manganese ore, where the silver mainly occurs in silver-manganese ore and natural silver mineral phases and the content of pyrolusite is high, which is apt to produce fine slime in grinding process. Based on conditional tests, a closed-circuit test was made on the flowsheet consisting of primary grinding, high intensity magnetic separation (HIMS), secondary grinding, silver flotation and manganese flotation. As a result, a HIMS concentrate containing 595.7 g/t, flotation silver concentrate grading 7 328.0 g/t and flotation manganese slime containing 288.7 g/t were obtained, with the total silver recovery being 81.44% and an average silver grade of the three concentrates being 586.8 g/t.
