Abstract: Dilute acid leaching of the aqueous leaching residue from the process of stone coal roasting-aqueous leaching-resin exchange-desorption-vanadium precipitation by ammonium salt-vanadium pentoxide making by calcination can improve the total vanadium leaching rate by more than ten percentage points. However, impurities such as silicon, aluminum, iron, and phosphorous can also enter the acid leaching solution with vanadium, thus affecting the downstream vanadium precipitation. For this, hydrogen peroxide and cupferron were used as screening agent and agent for removing impurities in the test of purifying this vanadium-containing acid leaching solution. The results indicate that when the hydrogen peroxide and the vanadium in the solution are in a mass ratio of fifteen, cupferron (1 g/L)and the acid leaching solution are in a volumetric ratio of 1∶8 and the pH of the solution is 6.5, a relatively thorough removal of harmful impurities can be realized, with the vanadium loss being only 15.52%,satisfying the requirement of the downstream vanadium extraction.
